Welcome to The Apple Barn, a charmingly converted farm building that originally stored fruit and vegetables. Retaining its traditional charm with stone and oak floors and beams, it now offers contemporary fixtures and fittings for a comfortable stay. Ideal for families, groups of friends, and corporate bookings.
The Granary Barn
Converted during the January 2021 lockdown, The Granary Barn is a versatile space perfect for various activities, including parties, games and business meeting. It is brightly decorated with a projector and large projector screen. There are plentiful tables and chairs to create a charming dining area or business conference room
Ground Floor: A large open space suitable for dining or activities, with seating for around 50 people at 4 long tables. 120″ screen with a projector that connects via Bluetooth, USB, and HDMI.
First Floor: A games room featuring a full-sized snooker table, football table, poker table, and a chill-out seating area.
The Granary Barn adds valuable habitable space and can be set up for dining or other uses. Please inquire if you have specific activities in mind.
Bedrooms
The Apple Barn can comfortably accommodate up to 18 guests plus infants and pets. There are 3 bedrooms across two floors:
First Floor:
- Bedroom 1: Ensuite with a bath and separate shower, featuring a king-size bed and a single bed, with space for 2 additional single beds. Max capacity: 5 guests
- Bedroom 2: Ensuite with a bath/shower, featuring a king-size bed and space for 2 additional single beds (though the space becomes snug with maximum occupancy) Max capacity: 4 guests
Second Floor:
- Bedroom 3 and 4 combines (Family Suite): A large room occupying the entire floor, divided into 2 sleeping areas. It includes a Queen-size bed (4ft 6″) and 7 single beds with space for one more, sharing an ensuite bathroom with a bath. The second floor is accessed via a spiral staircase, which may not be suitable for those with mobility issues or very young children. Max capacity: 10 guests
- All beds, including extra ones, are proper, rigid beds with memory foam mattresses. . There is also a double sofa bed in the sitting room.
- Cots and highchairs are available upon request.
Living & Dining Areas
The ground floor is open-plan, featuring:
- Sitting Room: A spacious area with 4 sofas, a large inglenook fireplace with a log-burning stove, TV, and DVD player. During December, enjoy a living Christmas tree and festive decorations.
- Kitchen: Well-equipped with an electric range cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, Nespreso Coffee maker and milk frother with complementary pods, breakfast bar, and TV.
- Dining Room: A long refectory table with seating for 18 people. There is also a utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer, and downstairs cloakroom.
Outdoor Spaces
Front Area: Lawned area with a terrace and optional hot tub (available to hire for £200 per stay).
Side Area: An enclosed circular terrace with a dining area and parasol, perfect for outdoor meals in fine weather.
Additional Details
Pets: Well-behaved pets are welcome but must be kept on the ground floor and supervised. An extra charge of £50 applies for one pet, with an additional £25 per pet for more. Please let us know the number of pets you’re bringing, as the default Airbnb system is set for 2 pets. The property has an enclosed garden, but it is not fully fenced.
Extras & Amenities: We provide washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing powder, foil, kitchen roll, clingfilm, loo rolls, towels, toiletries, and hairdryers. There is also an iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, and mop.
Special Events & Extended Stays
The house is ideal for celebrating Christmas, New Year’s Eve, birthdays, anniversaries, and more. For larger groups, the Granary Barn can be set up to accommodate various events, including corporate gatherings when rented in conjunction with our neighboring property.

Garden & parking
This shows the garden and parking layout of the Apple Barn which is labelled Holiday Let. The garden which is enclosed by a curved fence to the right of the property is actually paved. There is parking in front of the barn for 6-7 cars.
House rules

Additional rules
We ask that the house be left in good order on departure and that noise levels be reasonable so that we do not annoy our neighbours. No excessive noise or loud music after 11pm. After this time please turn the music down and be considerate to our neighbours. No amplified music Please, please don’t use glitter or confetti as this is incredibly difficult to clean up! I’m happy for you to put up decorations but please do not use sellotape or any other fixings that may cause damage. We welcome guests with dogs. Please keep pets on the ground floor, off furniture, and clean up any poop before you leave. If you could avoid letting your pets pee on the lawn that would be great! Guests may smoke in the garden. There are ashtrays provided so please make use of these rather than stubbing out on the ground. Please recycle rubbish. Recycling bins are provided. There is parking at the front of the house for up to 7 cars and more parking available if required. However, please do not park on the tarmac drive leading to the gates to the property. This is our neighbours land and although we have right of way, we do not have permission to park there. If the house is too warm, please turn down the heating, rather than open all the doors and windows! If you have hired a hot tub, please bring swimming towels. Please be kind to our septic tank and don’t flush wet wipes etc down the loo. Sanitary bags and bins are provided in all the bathrooms

The Apple Barn is the perfect House for a lovely weekend in the countryside. It has everything you wish for (a big living room with cozy sofas and a big fireplace, a kitchen with two ovens and a lot of beds). Stephanie was the perfect host, provided us everything we need from activities recommendation to coffee. We will come back in summer!

Stephanie was so helpful in arranging things before hand such as hot tub installation, allowed us early access to the house to decorate with birthday decorations and checked up on us during our stay! We had a great stay in Stephanie’s place. We were 8 adults and 5 kids (2 – 5 years old) and we all had something to do. The kids enjoyed the garden and Stephanie was kind enough to set up the tent for us which was also a great experience. The two rooms on the top floor are inter-connected, so make sure that you are with a group you are intimate with. Thanks for a great stay Stephanie.
